DBS Group share guide
A practical starting point for reviewing DBS Group. Verify every current figure and announcement against the company’s official SGX filing.
What to check in the latest results
net interest margin
Compare the latest reported figure with the same period, management’s explanation and the cash-flow effect.
credit costs
Compare the latest reported figure with the same period, management’s explanation and the cash-flow effect.
capital and dividends
Compare the latest reported figure with the same period, management’s explanation and the cash-flow effect.
Dividend and valuation checks
Confirm the declared amount, ex-dividend date, record date and payment date from the issuer’s filing. Compare the payout with recurring cash generation, balance-sheet capacity and the investment needed to sustain the business.
A falling price does not automatically make DBS Group cheap, and a high yield does not by itself make the payout safe. Compare current valuation with history, peers and the company’s changed risk profile.
